timeline presentation

A great way of showing timelines (or other reference information) for any topic! Thanks to Paul Gingell for sharing this with the Teaching Ideas community.

Grade 2. Content Statement: Time can be shown graphically on calendars and timelines. Literature: "Diary of a Fly" by Doreen Cronin. The activity relates to social studies because students will have to be able to create and comprehend timelines. Even though the book is more diary entries, students will be able to create a timeline to show how their lives have changed over time.

Timeline projects - ways to teach about the passage of time in the classroom, and a FREE timeline template for students to create their own (or a class timeline).
