I had heard about the floating Chongknease Village on the Tonle Sap Lake just outside the city of Siem Reap, Camboodia, so I arranged transport and a local guide. I had not expected to come face to face with poverty; the type of poverty where people have no clean drinking water and people must evade the government in order to survive.
Almost slap bang in the middle of Cambodia you’ll find Lake Tonlé Sap, the country’s largest lake. In fact it is a whopping 2,700 square kilometres! At the north of the lake is the town of Siem Reap and at the south, the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh.
