A range of earth tone colors and textures were incorporated in the stonework and decking to create the Old World design. Vertical walls were faced with natural ledge stone and finished with a chiseled stone cap. The decking was crafted by incorporating small tumbled cobblestone pavers.
For the entrance courtyard of a Beverly Hills house reinvented by designer Ryan White, landscape designer Christine London lined a path of gray limestone pavers with lavender and old-growth manzanilla olive trees. A stucco wall encloses the property and offsets a teak gate accented with bronze hardware.
