Suzzallo Library, Seattle. | Big, formal library reading rooms like this one are actually quite Basilica-like in the way that people move around them. Generally, people walk around it around the edges (aisles), only entering the center axis (nave) if they are going to take a photo or use the long reading tables. This processional circulation is now ingrained in most people. Walking right down the middle would be considered pretty rude and distracting!
