Place value game using playing cards. Ask students to draw 2 or 3 cards and then ask them to make a number with the least or greatest value.

We like to call this the "Place Value House". We use this house template to teach addition and subtraction with regrouping. We explain to the students that each place is a room and each room can only have one digit. This helps with the concept of regrouping.
