Vesper Martini

The Vesper  - as written by Ian Fleming for James Bond: “Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet.  Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?”  - Casino Royale, Chapter 7 3 oz of Gordon’s Gin 1 oz of vodka .5 oz measure Kina Lillet lemon peel for garnish

The orig james bond cocktail...may come in handy for a theme party, but click through to the blog for the fun movie excerpt. I, too, dislike small portions of anything;-)

Dry Martini

Dry Martini: The Dry Martini is as timeless as a tailored suit. Simple, sophisticated and garnished with a lemon twist, it's the ideal Father's Day cocktail.

Vesper Martini recipe | James Bond

With Spectre out, James Bond is guaranteed to be the go-to theme for New Years this year. Which means the Vesper Martini is a must have for your cocktail party. With only four ingredients, it's the authentic drink to celebrate with.

Vesper martini. Invented by James Bond in Casino Royale. Three measures of Gordon's gin, one of vodka (preferably grain), half a measure of Lillet. Shaken (not stirred) with ice, then served with a large, thin slice of lemon peel. Since I love 007, Casino Royale, *and* the name Vesper, I'm pretty well required to try this (right?)!
