The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, known unofficially as the Warren Commission, was established to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Its 889-page final report was presented to President Johnson on September 24, 1964 and made public three days later. It concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing Kennedy and wounding Texas Governor John Connally and that Jack Ruby also acted alone when he killed Oswald a few days later.

Hale Boggs, Jr (1914 - 1972) Politician. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1941-43 and 1946-72, an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Louisiana in 1952, and a member of the Warren Commission, which investigated President Kennedy's assassination.
