Natural Weed Killer 1 gallon vinegar, 1/2 cup salt, dash of dish washing detergent (makes it stick to the weeds). Mix well, spray on weeds in the morning, rejoice in their death that evening. This works best on a sunny day. @ its-a-green-life

Kidney Weed (Dichondra repens) This evergreen spreading perennial has shiny green heart-shaped leaves and inconspicuous green flowers, and is often used as a substitute lawn in low-traffic areas of the garden. It will grow in full sun or partial shade as long as it has plenty of moisture. When conditions are ideal, it will grow quite quickly.
No more mowing...ever! I just planted Dutch white clover all over my crabgrass "lawn". Clover needs a fraction of the water and will kill any crabgrass that is stupid enough to get in it's way! I'm fighting fire with fire...or weeds with er..uhh... .weeds! I'll have a beautiful lush shamrock carpet in a month.
