Flipping the Classroom - I really want to try this out if I do teach 5th or 6th grade, have some really great ideas especially if I get to have Edmodo! For ELA, would post grammar and vocab lecture videos, pose online reading discussions, and then in class would focus on small group discussions and reinforcing lecture concepts :D
This is my ideal classroom dispositions wall display. The dispositions expected from students covers a large number of problems that can occur. I also love the emphasis on the word 'we.' It helps foster a sense of community because it holds everyone in the classroom accountable. These dispositions help students discover what is expected to in order to be globally competent.
Critical thinking skills are what we want our students to develop. Without these skills we can not guarantee a sound and effective education that will enable our kids to seamlessly blend in tomorrow 's job market. Therefore, it is our responsibility as teachers and educators to fully understand the components of this set of skills in order to better focus on them in our instruction.
