Bullying is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days when anything goes wrong between peers. It is our job to make sure students understand what constitutes bullying in order for them to use it appropriately when uncomfortable or unsafe circumstances arise.
I strive each day not to do these things...sometimes a person doesn't realize they are doing them. The key is to be aware of your own actions and words and refrain and/or correct. It is up to each individual. Don't make excuses, just learn to treat others better.
My kids school needs this because many kids are victims without anyone doing anything about it, and when the child being bullied reacts they end up getting in trouble!
