"This is just.." "I know, I know" Aaron replied. "It's creepy isn't it?" I nodded, as our canoe drifted along the coast of the land. "Tell me if you see the savages" He said, nervously watching the side of the boat. "Hey, why are you looking at the side of the lake? I thought they were on the land," Aaron looked at me, pale and sweat growing on his brow. "I meant the mermaids that live underneath." I looked at him unbelievingly. "...What did you say?"
Things are different now, we're drifting apart, and I don't know how to fix it. You're starting to become closer to other people, and I'm just sitting here watching the world go by without me. I don't know what to do, it hurts. I hope this is just a phase and we will get over it, because if not I won't know what to do.
The robotic Cassini spacecraft now orbiting Saturn recently drifted in the giant planet's shadow for about 12 hours and looked back toward the eclipsed Sun. Saturn's rings light up so much that new rings were discovered: Saturn's E ring, the ring created by the newly discovered ice-fountains of the moon Enceladus, and the outermost ring visible above. Far in the distance, visible on the image left just above the bright main rings, is the almost ignorable pale blue dot of Earth.
♥ Canadian photographer Amy Friend has just created new work, as a continuation of her magical Dare alla Lucce series. Amy’s description: “Through hand-manipulated interventions I altered and subsequently re-photographed the images, 're-making' photographs that oscillate between what is present and what is absent."
"For this reason, we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it." Heb. 2:1 ~Drift away = coming loose from our permanent anchor if we forget how superior Christ is.
