The Lourdes Grotto is a Roman Catholic shrine that became a famous landmark in Aruba. It commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Virgin Mary appearing to a peasant girl in a town in the south of France called Lourdes. A procession is held on February 11 of every year from St. Theresita church to the grotto where a mass for the Virgin Mary is conducted.
