The Western Wall, a remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Herod the Great is believed to have started building it around 19 BC. The wall goes far below street level and many sections of the Western Wall are concealed behind structures running along the whole length of the Temple Mount. There is just a small portion that remains and is still visible.
This wall can be found in Times Square in NYC. The wall in the big apple is where thousands of people place colorful sticky notes covered with their Hopes and Dreams. On New years eve at midnight in Times Square when the ball drops all of the wishes are thrown into the air when the clock strikes twelve, filling the streets of New York City with thousands of little, colorful dreams.
