I love reading about the call on Moses' life. Exodus 3:11 is his immediate response to God's order to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses says "Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?" Moses was giving an expression here of inadequacy for such a serious mission. He was just a mere shepherd in Midian what could he do? But God's calling on our life has nothing to do with us.
Gioachino Antonio Rossini (29 February 1792 – 13 November 1868) was an Italian composer who wrote 39 operas as well as sacred music, chamber music, songs, and some instrumental and piano pieces. His best-known operas include the Italian comedies Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) and La Cenerentola and the French-language epics Moïse et Pharaon and Guillaume Tell.
Moses (bet. 14th and 13th century BCE): Old Testament prophet and leader who delivered his people from slavery in Egypt. According to biblical commentators, Moses was born at six months gestation, and because he was very quiet (typical for a preemie), he could be hidden from the Egyptian spies who were looking for all Jewish male newborns to kill them. His mother and sister put Moses in a basket in the river Nile where he was rescued by the Pharaoh's daughter. Painting by Chagall.
Paul was comparing the unfading glory of Jesus Christ, to the fading glory of Moses. When Moses came down from Mt. Sinai, his face shone and he had to cover it because the people feared. So those who were still clinging to law could not see the glory of God. But we were like the earth once was - "without form and empty". But God has shone the knowledge of his glory into our hearts. So we, with unveiled face, looking into a mirror, see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Mary Fields was born a slave on this date in 1832. She was a Black entrepreneur and stagecoach driver. Fields was a gun-totin' female in the American Wild West who was six feet tall, powerful, and she carried a pair of six-shooters and an eight or ten-gauge shotgun. Mary became a U.S. mail coach driver for the Cascade County region of central Montana in 1895. She and her mule, Moses, never missed a day, and it was in this aptitude that she became a legend in her own time, Stage Coach Mary!
