These dark and cold days of winter can be hard to get through in the best of times, but in stir-crazy 2021, we can use some fun ways to get motivated. We’ve found our favorite family challenges from around the Twin Cities and the internet. Pick your families favorites
Swimming at these Twin Cities indoor waterparks and pools can be a wonderful way to squeeze in a workout during the frigid winter months in Minnesota, not to mention it’s guaranteed to wear out your most stir-crazy child! We’ve rounded up a list of indoor facilities around the Twin Cities where you can splash, slide and swim away the cold weather blues. Most of them offer swimming lessons as well:
Mid-December means opening weekend for many of the Twin Cities-area outdoor ice rinks and we’re sure, as hardy Minnesotans ourselves, that you’re dying to strap on your skates and hustle the kids out to the rinks! That’s why we’ve rounded up this list of local places to skate –and, as nearly all are located in city parks, there’s no charge for the skating.
Sledding is my favorite winter outdoor activity and Twin Cities-area sledding hills can’t be beat. They are free and abundant, and they come in all shapes and sizes.
