Is it Fostoria or is it Cube? Or Whitehall or other lookalike? Fostoria American was so popular that Jeannette made a pretty pattern in the 1930s called Cube with similar style. You won't have a problem with Cube, but other patterns, like Indiana Whitehall, can be harder. This is a newsletter from the Glass and Pottery Sellers Association of which I am a member.
Indiana Glass introduced the Whitehall pattern in the early 1960's. This is Indiana Glass pattern number 521. Whitehall is VERY similar to the Fostoria American pattern. Whitehall is most often seen in the above colors, gold or amber, crystal and olive green. There is also a very pretty light blue, a teal blue and crystal with ruby stain. In the 1980's, the Whitehall candy box was made in blue and green carnival glass.
