I had one similar to this, only white ~ I hated to wear Bathing Caps, but as a teen, the public swimming pool required that you do so.

i loved Shakey's Pizza Parlor -- a big window so we could watch the pizza being made and a player piano banging out "Bill Bailey, won't you please come home"
Shakeys Pizza - the one in my neighborhood was super airconditioned. It had a player piano. They had icy, icy cold Cokes and that wonderful greasy pepperoni pizza!

Before steam irons, used these to dampen laundry before ironing. My mom had one of these that she put on the top of a pop bottle.
Used for laundry before ironing. My mom had on of these. She sprinkled the clothes and then put them tightly into a plastic bag so they became slightly damp all over. No steam irons in those days. Plus my mom's was a pepsi bottle too, we were a pepsi family. -kjk
"Sprinkler bottle" Used for laundry before ironing before the days of steam irons. My mama's was a Coke bottle.
CLOTHES SPRINKLER... Mother sprinkled everything, then rolled each item into a ball and stuck it in a big zippered plastic bag in the freezer and would take things out and iron them as we needed them or time permitted. Aunt Ethel did a lot of our ironing too--since Mother worked six days a week at our family store.
