Portrait of Jacob Feitama (1726-1797) and his Wife, Elisabeth de Haan (1735-1800), 1790 by Wybrand Hendriks. Originally, one of the grumpy couple's daughters, Maria, stood on the left, but she was painted over when she married an officer against her parents’ wishes.[You can see where she has been painted out - and not very well done-perhaps deliberately so the couple had a talking point for their grumpiness!]
