Abandoned palace in Poland. What is it about abandoned things that they just sit, unseen by the passing public, and they just get dusty and old, and no one seems to see them anymore? Why is that the case? And why are they so much more beautiful than everything we build now? If only we would repair them...
Abandoned in the Vladimir region of Russia, Muromtsevo Castle was built in the late 19th century. After the Russian Revolution, it served as a college and later a hospital. Eventually it fell into disuse and the castle now remains largely an untouched relic in the forest.

Hitler’s Hospital: The Eerie Remains of Beelitz Sanatorium
The remains of the abandoned Beelitz Sanatorium is a combination of grand architecture and eerie medical artifacts. Built in 1898 near Berlin, Germany, it served victims of tuberculosis until it was converted to aid the wounded of WWI and WW II, including Adolf Hitler. After World War II, the hospital was used by Soviets occupying East Germany. Most of the complex has been empty since 2000.
