TV Tidbits

A collection of memorable TV shows and televised events that touched me in various ways. Also included are some excellent "talk show" celebrity interview videos, and, of course, (what would TV be without them?!) commercials. I hope that you find some of your favourites on this board :-)

A Lion Called Christian (Full Documentary) -- In 1969 Christian the lion was adopted by 2 brothers. But when he became too big to care for, they reintroduced Christian to the wild in Africa. They returned a year later and were told that Christian was now the head of a pride and was unlikely to remember them. After many hours of looking for the pride, the brothers found Christian, and the greeting that Christian gave them is one of the most spectacular and heartwarming moments I've ever seen.

Trunk Monkey Commercials Compilation -- Hilarious! The Trunk Monkey series of ads, created for Oregon-based new and used-car sellers, the Suburban Auto Group, features a monkey who lives in the car’s trunk and will stop at nothing to protect you. The ads show the monkey delivering a baby, bribing a cop, acting as a chaperone and more! It’s every driver’s devious fantasy.

Wonderfalls -- "Here’s the thing about the premise of “Wonderfalls:" it’s part coming of age comedy, part science fiction drama, part Joan-of-Arc-narrative. And all of it is nearly impossible to pin down. Nevertheless, for a show that lasted on-air for only four episodes, “Wonderfalls” is repeatedly on every list of shows marked brilliant, but cancelled." Fantastic show ... MUCH too short-lived :-(
