The Big Jubilee Lunch in Washington
The British Embassy capped off a four-day celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a “Big Lunch” picnic at the British School of Washington. The Big Jubilee Lunch, one of the main program of events over the central weekend of Diamond Jubilee celebrations, aims to get people across the UK to have lunch with their neighbours in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.
Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
The British Embassy in Bahrain hosted a children’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Monday 4 June to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second’s Diamond Jubilee. More than 100 children, teachers and volunteers enjoyed a lively afternoon in the gardens of the Ambassador’s Residence.
