It all begins with the coal; made from hand-picked woods of local tree varietals, each one providing a unique flavour. Cooking whole animals is quite common at the asado, but there is always plenty of variety to choose from – embutidos, meats, red wine and salads.
International guests will enjoy local libations such as Crios Torrontés wine with St-Germain elderflower liqueur from France in the Des-Coya martini, or Hesperidina aperitif to Mexican tequila in our Sunny Margarita. Also on the drinks menu: artisanal beers, such as the locally produced Lothar and Stallion beers; and a wine list highlighted by bubbly selections including champagne and sparkling wines.
Meet the Backhander. It's a take on the Argentine tea called mate, but with Bombay Sapphire gin, lemonade, lemongrass, and cucumber. The silver cup is called a mate and so is the tea inside of the cup, which has a grassy, earthy taste.
