And she is an amazing miracle. We did 20 weeks in NICU, with no ventilator, only a nasal cannula. A brain hemorrhage & 4 eye surgeries later we were left expecting the worst. A child with no vision & major developmental challenges. She now sees well enough to read normal fonts with glasses, and reads a 12th+ reading level in 5th grade. She read 2 million words in a school year, in 2nd grade. She is active in cheer, gymnastics, track, and dance. She never uses her disability for a crutch…
