Well - it was a forced issue really.... my daughter wanted a New Home card for a friend, so no fairy :( But it was nice to do something different... and still have just a touch of glitter about it... well I just couldn't resist... could I? Image is Digi Stamp Boutique - coloured with promarkers and copics... computer generated sentiment, MS edge punch for band, grosgrain ribbon from stash... and daisy background paper downloaded from Pink Petticoat. Of course, a bit of bazzil, and a bit of glitter! Simples, and a nice change! I bet you thought I'd been MIA just lately - but I've just been quite busy and although been commenting, not actually getting around to making anything! We went to see the Wizard of Oz in London on Wednesday (staight comute from York to Kings Cross - no stops).... saw the matinee, had dinner, then came home! And what a show!!!!!!!!! I was like a child in toyland.... Michael Crawford as the Wizard, and the girl who won 'Over the Rainbow' as Dorothy! The effects were magnificent, and I had to be forcibly held back from trying to make a grab for Dorothy's red glitter shoes, ooooh and Glinda the Good Witch's dress....... which was sparkly glitter from top to bottom!!!!!! JUST MY TYPE OF THING!!! But Barry and my daughter Emma held me back..... wahhhhhhhhhh!!! Ah well.... This pic doesn't do her dress justice... Sorry you have to turn your head!! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.... thanks for bearing with me during this L-O-N-G post! Happy Crafting

Making The World Sparkle....
A very productive day... three loads of washing done, a visit to a papercrafts show returning with a bag full of goodies, the other half deposited at the Stadium of Light to see the Chilli Peppers and a new frock bought for a wedding! I finally had time to sit down for a cuppa and crafting session at 6 o' clock tonight resulting in this card for the challenge at Less Is More - Paper Piecing. Paper piecing is one of my favourite techniques and so quick to do. The image is from the Digistamp Boutique and the papers are from the Papermania sets below: In fact this was so quick to make I'm going to make a handful for my box at work... after I've finished my mountain of ironing!
Today's card is for a friend who has just moved to a new house. I've dug around in my craft room and found some very old Kanban images and papers to produce this... I've used a scalloped 7 inch base card and matted the patterned paper that came with the die cut images onto some black card. I've mounted the house die cut onto some cream then black card and added some flowers as 'bushes'. The greeting is some word art I've had for years and I've added a cute heart button to compliment the sentiment. I'm entering this card into the current challenges at... Simply Create Too #101 - something new Craft Your Passion #296 - anything goes 613 Create Avenue #161 - AG/ something from your stash Crafting From The Heart #96 - anything goes As You Like It - one or multi-layered. Multi-layered for me - I love the depth and texture that layers add to a card and the challenge of mixing and matching papers and embellishments. Thanks for popping in! Sharon x
