Scotland is indeed the most beautiful place on earth. In a past life Gene and I must have lived there. Isle of Iona is that thin sacred veil between heaven and earth. 39 years ago I married my true love and two years ago on Iona I married him forever! I LONG FOR SCOTLAND!!!

in Scotland...I've been stopped on rural Scottish roads many times by flocks of sheep. It teaches you patience!

This "sea of wool" just makes me smile.

Cille Choirill can be found off the A86 approx 2 miles east of Roy Bridge. The church / chapel is thought to have originated around 600AD and had Catholic connections that go back to the Irish missionary St. Cairell at that time .

Clava Cairns by Culloden, Scotland - Clava Cairns is the site of an exceptionally well preserved group of prehistoric burial cairns that were built about 4,000 years ago. The Bronze Age cemetery complex comprises of passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairn, standing stones in a beautiful setting and the remains of a chapel of unknown date.

Saint Oran's Cemetery adjacent to Iona Abbey, Iona Scotland - reputed to be the burial ground for 48 Dalriadan and Scottish kings, including Macbeth of Shakespearean fame, as well as eight Norwegian and four Irish kings. The Lords of the Isles were also buried here in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries.
