Industrial shelving. I love open shelving but let's be real. How practical is that in a kitchen. Think how quickly the tops of your cabinets accumulate gunk. Now imagine that on all the exposed stuff in these shelves. Looks good, but not practical.

I like the factory window-style room divider. The kitchen is its own room - separate from the dining area, but the space still looks open and flows.
