modify this for a group therapy activity--the middle is the kid's name and the pedals are things they like about themselves and the stem can be what they dream of being or a goal. Or have other students tell what the like best about their friends-write them on the petals. - Might do this for my next session!!
I used this many times yesterday and every kids loved it.....I made another copy and include various other feelings that I listed at the bottom of the page and left a blank where the word anger was. I let the kid pick the emotions.
Emotions Color Wheel - Description: This activity is good to break the ice with any client. It is also an easy “check-in” to find out how the client is feeling and the issues he/she is dealing with at this time in his/her life. After creating a pie chart with 8 sections, the client gets to choose 8 emotions and then color in the pie pieces.
Affirmation bracelets- made these with kid's art therapy group tonight (7-10y/o) and they loved it (boys and girls)! Typed and printed words as well as stamped words. Going to do it with other groups...(11-17)
