Original art created by me. I work predominately in colored pencil or graphite, but also have worked with ink and watercolor. I'm testing out acrylic airbrush these days too. World View - "World View" - 6.5" x 11". Fabriano Artistico hot press watercolor paper with Inktense, Cotman Watercolours (in the tube), Prismacolor Premier, and Polychromos - also, used a heated surface to manipulate the softened pencils (a la Icarus board, but I don't really have one - YET). I literally did this in about 4 hours!! www.ginasdrawings.com

Color Pencil Drawing
On a Down Time Train - 14 x 17" colored pencil on vellum Bristol. I took this photo on the "red line" in Manhattan in 2007. I was struck by the silence and isolation of the passengers. No one spoke or looked at each other in an almost purposeful isolation. It appears "cold" but really wasn't unfriendly. It's as if they are simply decompressing from the hectic city above on a peaceful ride home - getting a little "down time". www.ginasdrawings.com
