We wanted to create a visual reminder of just how important each member of our Tacoma Relay Family is to the success of our event, so we created a "Hope Chain." We asked each Relayer to add a link for each of their roles: Survivor, Caregiver, Team Captain, Team Member, Leadership Team. We will bring the chain to each pre-relay meeting, rally, workshop and Relay to repeat the exercise. We HOPE by Relay day our chain will reach around the track.
Want to incorporate your fundraising event color theme into a centerpiece design rich in color (and cheap in cost)? For this design, I used very inexpensive felt sheets along with a small amount of glittery accent tulle with floral picks for the flowers. Coordinating water pearls with a table mirror and accent ribbon tied the look together. All these materials can be purchased in bulk on Amazon.com. Ask your local florist if you can borrow the table mirrors for the night!
Here's a great idea for Charity Fundraising Events. A SELF-FUNDED table centerpiece - a bottle of wine and a Personalized Wine Box with the charities LOGO and mission statement laser engraved. At the end of the evening, have each table conduct a not-so-silent auction for the Center Piece starting at a certain price. A little table competition could go a long ways toward underwriting some of the room décor. Prices starting at $45 plus shipping for the wood boxes. (#wine not included!)
