This made me laugh this morning. I eat all day. Seriously every few hours. No one ever got fat from eating whole, nutritious, clean superfoods! Starvation is NOT an option for me. My goal is to gain lean muscle, not breakdown every ounce of muscle in my body and dehydrate myself by not eating. I hate being hungry. I do feel that shit in my soul! Starvation zaps your energy, ruins your metabolism, and is completely unsustainable both mentally and biologically. Hangry is a real emotion! And it is NOT pretty!

Gruyere Chive Popovers Yield: 12 popoversPrep Time: 10 minCook Time: 30 min Ingredients: 3 cups whole milk 3 cups flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 6 eggs 1 1/4 cups (lightly packed) shredded Gruyere cheese, separated 2 Tablespoons minced fresh chives 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes Directions: Preheat oven to 400ºF. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk just until bubbles form around the edges. Sift the flour and salt together in a bowl. Set aside. In a separate large bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy, and then slowly whisk the warm milk into the eggs, whisking constantly so eggs don't cook. Whisk in the flour mixture just until combined, then whisk in 1 cup of the cheese and the chives. Place the popover pan in the oven for 2 minutes to heat. Remove it and add a pat of butter to each cup. Once the butter has melted, portion the batter into the cups, filling each about 3/4 full. Top with a portion of the remaining cheese. Bake the popovers for 20 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 300ºF, and continue baking about 10 more minutes. (See Kelly's Notes.) Remove the popovers from the oven and serve warm. Kelly's Notes: When measuring flour, never scoop the cup into the flour, as it condenses the flour and causes you to use more than the recipe intends. Instead, spoon the flour into your measuring cup and level it with a knife. The key to perfectly puffed popovers is to keep the oven closed during the entire baking process. As tempting as it is to peek, keep that door shut!
Gruyere Chive Popovers, via justataste. It's so exciting to see popovers rise sky-high in the oven! This recipe is definitely yummy, and I've even made it enough times to justify the $20 for my own popover pan, but to tell the truth they are slightly eggy for my taste -- if I had to serve airy cheese bread for dinner, I'd rather go with gougéres.

brie & cranberry tarlets - thanksgiving appetizer Brie and Cranberry Tartlets Makes 45 tartlets 3 (1.9-ounce) packages miniature phyllo pastry shells (45 shells)* 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce 1 tablespoon orange zest 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie, rind removed Preheat oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place shells on prepared baking sheet, and bake for 5 minutes. Cool completely on baking sheet. Reduce oven temperature to 300°. In a small bowl, combine cranberry sauce and orange zest. Cut Brie into about 45 pieces. Place 1 Brie piece in each pastry shell; top with about 1 teaspoon cranberry mixture. Bake for 4 to 6 minutes, or just until cheese begins to melt. Serve immediately. *We tested with Athens Mini Fillo Shells.
