If I could design whatever type of house I wanted it would be an atrium style with a courtyard like this in the middle.

If you don't want another large dry creek bed, I love laying the rocks out flat with the landscape like this. Would work well within planting beds that tend to stay too wet..

My shade garden.

Start seedlings in an egg shell and, when ready, plant the entire thing. The egg shells will naturally compost providing valuable nutrients to your plants.

Each time you crack an egg open, instead of tossing the shell into the trash, drop it into an open container that you keep in the fridge. When the container is full, crush the shells into small bits and sprinkle them around the base of your plants. The sharp eggshells will deter slugs, snails, and other bugs from nibbling on your garden and add a touch of calcium to the soil. @Lacey McKay McKay McKay Moate
