Wanted to play with pure gesture on this one, letting the anatomy take the back seat, so basic form and such is way off, it's all about the flow of the figure and shapes that builds it.

Decided to put my figure drawing to the test with a longer sitting in charcoal, wasn't as happy with the result as I expected to be, so I had to do two (see next piece).

Watched Alien the other day and got really inspired to do a xenomorph drawing, this is what came out after some sketching, first really rendered piece I've done in a long while!

First painting in a while, my artlife got a bit pushed back when I applied for my job at Tuzame, but I'm confident that I can get it up n' running again for 2016!

Me ol' breathing bags are getting sad by the fixative I use for my charcoal drawings, so I'm switching over to graphite for a while! It's great to get into details again.

Continuing my quest for the abstract, these are quite soothing to create, and that stillness is exactly what I yearn for right now, so it's a balance pill for my inner self.
