Notes Left Behind - such a powerful book.
Worth Reading, Little Girls, Keith Desserich, Notes Left, Books Worth, Now, Cancer, Brooke Desserich
This about a little girl with terminal cancer and after she succombed to the struggle her parents founds thousands of notes left hidden everywhere for them to find after she was gone. It is a true story.
Notes Left Behind by Brooke Desserich, Keith Desserich. A combination of sad and uplifting. It is very accurate as I have recently had to care for a family member with brain cancer. It is a very real depiction of how it really is and how it truly brings life into focus.."Death is merely part of life rather than ending, and what it brings is value and focus to what we see as important"
Notes Left Behind by Brooke Desserich, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005GNKU88/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_dp_GZdarb164W5PK
Notes Left Behind- young daughter dies of brain cancer & later her family finds beautiful notes hidden thru house for them. INSPIRING
A must read, beautiful story about a brave girl during her final months. Her parents made a journal of her cancer battle. I think of this family often, it takes special people to take something so devastating and use it to help others.
The most touching book I have ever read. I really recommend to read it. The true story of a brave young girl with cancer.
Notes Left Behind by Brooke Desserich at Sony Reader Store. I'm looking forward to reading this!

Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women, and Civil War nurse
Books, Louisa, Favorite Authors, Civil War, Writers, People, Women, American Novelist
Many people know Louisa May Alcott wrote Little Women, but not many that she wrote many others, all with strong female lead characters, was a feminist and as a young girl met and learned from many writers and artists (all family friends) from that time. She remained single all her life
Louisa May Alcott, beloved American writer, was about 25 years old in this picture. She wrote several books including 'Little Women'. Alcott became an advocate for women's suffrage and was the first woman to register to vote in Concord, Massachusetts, in a school board election. She also was an abolitionist.
Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women, & Civil War nurse. Also one of my all-time favorite authors! She wrote many more books than just Little Women!
Louisa May Alcott is best known and loved for “Little Women,” a book loosely based on her own childhood. Behind the story of homemaking and the struggles of growing up during the Victorian time, lived a troubled woman who lived a double life. Few people knew her true side. It was only years after her death, when her other writings where found, that her real life became known.
Louisa May Alcott (29 November 1832—6 March 1888) was an American novelist. She is best known for the novel Little Women and its sequels Little Men and Jo's Boys. Little Women was set in the Alcott family home, Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts, and published in 1868. This novel is loosely based on her childhood experiences with her three sisters.
September 30, 1868: Little Women published. Louisa May Alcott didn't want to write a book for girls, but told her publisher she'd give it a try. "I plod away," she wrote in her diary, "although I don't enjoy this sort of thing."
Before Louisa May Alcott wrote Little Women, she was a Civil War nurse! Her book, Hospital Sketches, was part of my research for my novel Wedded to War.

Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With The Wind" Was One Of Missouri's All Time Favorite Movies
Gone With the Wind, my favorite movie. I have seen it more than 100 times. Vivian Leigh is beautiful.
Gone With the Wind - My all time favorite movie. Embarrassed to say how many times I've seen it. I know too many scenes by heart and can recite every word.
I think Scarlett O'Hara is a very unique character. I realize she broke his heart and many other men she encountered. However I do believe she was a strong-willed, determined woman which I still admire! Gone With The Wind remains one of my favorite movies! I want to reread the novel ...
Gone With the Wind, My most favorite movie in the whole world. First saw downtown Louisville with both my Grandmothers and Mom at the Penthouse, red velvet curtains and even an intermission. /Also saw at the Vogue theatre with college "And heads were high" quote is memorable.

“Lock up your libraries if you like, but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind.” ~Virginia Woolf, A Room of One's Own http://www.utoronto.ca/IVWS/
In April of 1937, Virginia Woolf delivered a beautiful treatise on language and craftsmanship as part of a BBC broadcast, which remains *the only surviving recording of the author’s voice*. Composer Brian Mark has enchanted it with new life in A Eulogy to Words — a mesmerizing multimedia mashup of Woolf’s recording and a composition for chamber orchestra, featuring horn, harp, piano, tape, and electronics.
