Great "get to know you" game to be adapted. Everyone scoops a small dixie cup full of m’s. One at a time picked out a single m, and shared a thought that correlated with the color of the candy and the chart.

Non-messy "Jitter Glitter" for first-day nerves. I didn't want sticky juice or messy glitter, so instead I use a decorated antibacterial hand gel that has the glittery-like beads, which magically disappear as kids rub their hands together. Read the book First Day Jitters, then give each kid a tiny squirt of this on their hands. (It also helps to keep germs at bay on the first day!) Too cute!!
