She will hand you knitting needles with your drink, and the idea is that you knit a few squares between the orders. These squares are later made up into clothes for soldiers and evacuated children. This blanket can be worked in any thickness of yarn, and to whatever measurement you require the finished blanket/afghan to be. Would also make a very simple, yet elegant shawl or Christening shawl. For a light, airy fabric, and to replicate the pictured blanket, I recommend a 4ply yarn using 3.75 needles, alternatively, you can size up with heavier yarn. The only limit is your yardage!
