Greg has written over 20 books on the history of American railroads. His first work of fiction, Gideon’s Ghost, is a young adult novel. He has also written Lost Little Girl, the first of his Jackson Gamble novels, and his newest novel, Connor's War is about a young 15-year-old boy whose life is going to dramatically change. Greg resides with his wife and two cats, Wallace and Gromit in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He is also a member of the Heartland Writers Guild.
