    Our clients (and friends) at HomeAway are hosting a party in Brush Square Park on Tuesday, March 13th. Meet their employees, enjoy free food and drinks and enter to win a vacation rental stay too!

    Rainey Street is being taken over by Google (in the good way). With 5 different spots dedicated to a different purpose, there will be interactive events, drinks and lots of surprises.

    The Shins, The Ting Tings, The Cults, Heartless Bastards and more will be playing on a rooftop parking garage as a part of Google and YouTube's Live from the Lot.

    The Industry Party is back. GSD&M; presents a night of live music in our backyard from the Heartless Bastards, The Apache Relay and Motopony.     Staying for both interactive and music? You're going to want to RSVP to the Pure Volume House on 2nd and Trinity to hear great music all day and take advantage of their open bar.

    DMX is throwing a party at Clive Bar on Rainey street and they are partnering up with Pandora. Free drinks at a great spot, check it out here.

    You know where we like to hang out? Key Bar. During SXSW, that still holds true especially when the folks at mixtape marketing and Bearded Pony are throwing their annual shindig. No RSVP required.

    For their 3rd year in a row, IFC is putting together a solid showcase of great bands and comedy at their Crossroads house. This year the house is at Vice Bar on East 6th and features bands like Citizen Cope, Heartless Bastards and newbies Walk the Moon.

    When it comes to parties at SXSW, music and booze just doesn't cover it anymore. Trover is throwing a 4-day Graffiti party at the East Side Drive In where you can come express yourself with a spray paint can.

    Pitchfork readers pride themselves on knowing about bands before the masses. Their showcase this year will be at Central Presbyterian Church featuring Fiona Apple, Purity Ring, Grimes and more. This is a badge only event.

    Celebrate making it through another SXSW and another Saint Patrick's Day at the Visionary Artist Management and Music Clout Unofficial SXSW Showcase at Flamingo Cantina (515 East 6th Street) on March 17th from 12-5pm. There will be amazing drink specials and a wide variety of musicians from around the country at this free 21+ event.

    Sailor Jerry presents Reverb Party SXSW 2012 on Saturday, March 17 at the Dirty Dog Bar. Free food and Colorado Craft Beer with RSVP. Typhoon, Bass Drum of Death, and Com Truise headline the extravaganza among many other acts.

    Shirts for a Cure, in association with Slip Booking and Traxion Control along with Munitio Earphones, Out of Time Clothing and MerchNOW, will be hosting a special free daytime SXSW showcase on Friday, March 16 at Red 7 (611 East 7th St). Lineup includes Hot Water Music, Braid, DYS, Darkest Hour, Comeback Kid, Coliseum, Anti-Flag, Tim Barry and many more. Doors at noon.

    2012 SXSW Folk Alliance Party at Threadgill's (301 West Riverside Drive @ Barton Springs Rd) will feature live music from Anthony da Costa (New York City, NY) Raina Rose (Austin, TX) & John Elliott (Los Angeles, CA), Head For The Hills (Ft. Collins, CO), Diego’s Umbrella + others on Saturday, March 17 from 12-6pm.

    The Artery Foundation's SXSW 2012 Showdown takes place Thursday, March 15 from 12-6PM with free live music all day. Along with other noteworthy acts, Asking Alexandria, A Skylit Drive, and Motionless in White will be playing.

    Tijuana Gift Shop and Sideways Media present an unofficial day party Thursday, March 15th 12-6pm at Rusty's (405 East 7th St @ Trinity) with help from House Band Wines and The Voice Project. Party is free and open to the public with live music and free drinks.

    The Gram Parsons Foundation, an addiction recovery charity focused on musicians and artists, will be hosting a free concert on March 14, 2012 with live performances from Blitzen Trapper, Brendan Benson and Eric Burdon, Great Lake Swimmers and others. The event is free to the public and will also stream live on the internet.

    Grown Kids Radio and are teaming up to present their first SXSW Unofficial Showcase on March 14th with an expanding line-up. RSVP and check back for more bands to be announced.

    South By Soup Fest Benefit Party at Guero's Taco Bar (1412 S Congress Ave) will be raising money for the Caritas of Austin Food Services programs, specifically the Caritas Community Kitchen and Food Pantry. Event takes place Wednesday, March 14 from 2-9pm with performances from from Michael Fracasso, Nathan Hamilton, Matt The Electrician + others. Come out and hear some great live music while helping fight hunger in Austin.
