Prepare To Be TARArized: SUPER PRETZEL TO THE RESCUE!

To observe Lent, set up a Lenten tree. Hang Bible verses on the tree, 1 for each day from Ash Wednesday to Good Friday. Each day take a verse & read it. Then pray the verse, read its context, or talk about it. As Easter approaches, the tree will grow more bare & will be empty on Holy Saturday as we remember Christ in the tomb. Easter morning, fill the tree w/ egg ornaments/flowers. [I add read the Resurrection story & sing a Resurrection song w/ the family like Christ the Lord is Risen Today!]

We have this wreath. We love it! Great family tradition, of lighting the candles while reading a variety of books with each candle lit. It is used for the seasons of Advent to Ascension. Ordered this wreath last year, from aholyexperience.com. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny.

40 great ideas to do for Lent with kids--here's two: Make a Prayer Chain: List 40 intentions or people on 40 slips of paper. Link them together into a chain. Rip one off each morning of Lent and pray for that need. Bury the Hallelujah: Explain why we don’t proclaim hallelujah during Lent. To symbolize, write out hallelujah on paper and bury it in the yard or put it away in a box.
