Science fair? No,no, no Reading Fair!....have kiddos keep track of each book they read for fall winter and spring...choose one that is a favorite diff genre each time...and make a reading fair...could go along with family reading night and these can be on display :)

Instead of a science fair...a reading fair! This is a FABULOUS idea for Reading Night or a display of favorite books for Media Center. Could even make mini boards for book report, place on desktops, and let students take a tour of classroom. GREAT for review of narrative elements or even character close up!!!

Engage your students in fun reading activities this school year. Instead of having a science fair at your school, have a reading fair instead. This example shows a student’s reading fair project for the book “The Chocolate Touch” written by Patrick Skene Catling.
