I didn't make cheer tryouts this year so I asked for a list of exercises they do for summer practice. These will keep me active during summer and they will get me ready for next year's tryouts. :)
Cheerleader Pom Poms
Liberty grip . One of the most important grip to learn in groupstunts. This grip is used for all body positions . Main base grabs a normal extension grip. Make sure you keep the feet straight and locked. . Side base has two option for grabbing. #1 - grab with the right and left hand for the middle. Make sure that the thumb of the left hand is under the foot and over on the other side. Your job is that you keep the ankle straight and locked in a neutral position. . Back spot grabs with both hands

Awesome tip for flyers! Great info!! Work on pulling your stretch to the front not the side. Try to square your hips. Practice splits making sure your hips and shoulders are squared facing the front. @cheer_iq

Like we promised you yesterday our next post in cradle position for bases . Coaches say a lot of times: always catch your flyers but we know that sometimes that is hard to do if you dont know how. Let us help you with that . Bases when you catch a cradle position always search for the flyers hips and reach over to the opposite side of the flyers body . Catch with one arm under the middle back with the other arm under the thighs and both hands catching the side of the flyers body. This will help
