Great activity with kids.  Works on counting, number recognition & fine motor skills.  Wasn't too hard for a 3 year old & 6 year olds really like it too.  They added the difficulty of patterns to reach the right number/pipe cleaner.

Could make a challenge by matching colour to kite ... then making kite striped in 2 colours and they make a sequence pattern of those 2 colours... try 3 ... have a ? mark on - they make their own pattern which has to be more than 3 repeats! Double th number.... and put a number on the bottom to show the total!  Bet they'll think of lots more! LH
