Early evening on the bridge | Tsurugaoka-Hachiman Shrine, Kamakura, Japan. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is the geographical and cultural center of the city since 1000 years ago. This Shrine is a heart of Kamakura. I visit Hachimangu as soon as I back in Shonan every year and enjoy the feeling of "coming back home." Meigetsuin street in cherry blossom season | Kamakura, Japan. As you walk on Meigetsuin Street to the temple, you'll find yourself in the blizzard of cherry blossom petals. I strongly recommend you to visit Meigetsuin temple, especially in the spring when cherry blossoms are flowering. You will see the garden is tinted pale pink, and millions of petals are dancing around you in the wind. It is just stunning.

A girl is watching local surfers’ ride | Pacific Drive-in, Kamakura A girl is watching local surfers on the wave at Pacific Drive-in. Pacific Drive-in is a cool burger shop/cafe that perfectly fits surfing culture in Kamakura. The restaurant located in a parking lot right beside Shichirigahama beach. You can get good burgers and beers in their outside terrace right after you get off from the wave.

Mellow afternoon | Taberna Rondino, Kamakura. Taverna Rondino is my favorite Italian restaurant in Inamuragasaki area. You'll love their local seafood menu and view of Sagami-bay. Pasta lunch set (appetizer, pasta with squid ink, bread, a glass of chardonnay, sorbet for dessert, a cup of espresso) make you feel luxurious with reasonable price.

Waiting for the rain stops | Jochiji Temple, Kamakura. The sun started to shine through the wet trees…so the rain will stop soon. The rain in Kamakura covers this old town with soft green watercolor. Some people love to visit Kamakura on a rainy day. I agree with their choice.
A girl in waiting | Katase Enoshima Station, Fujisawa. A girl dressed in honey color waiting for her boyfriend at Katase Enoshima station. Design of the station building has been an impressive landmark for 90 years. This old building will be reconstructed soon with the modern construction technology. Since everyone (yes, absolutely everyone) love this old design, the train company decide to reflect this looks to the new station building. A teenage couple on Enoden line | Kamakura. Enoden (to Kamakura) is approaching Shichirigahama-beach. In winter, you can see both the sky and Sagami-Bay is tinted pink under the soft sunlight in PM. This spot is one of my favorite along Enoden line.

Enoshima Shrine in summer evening | Enoshima, Fujisawa city. Inside the main gate (Zui-shin Mon: a building in the center) is Enoshima Shrine's sanctuary. The approach to the shrine looks like the path to the other world, especially in the evening when the gate illuminated with lights from shops alongside the street.

Spring in Osogo | Fujisawa. Osogo area is called "gem of Fujisawa" or "the secret garden of Fujisawa." Spreading farm field along the Mekujiri and Oide rivers producing high-quality local rice + vegetables and create beautiful countryside scenery. I'm glad that we still keep this beautiful environment very close to the center of the city.

A glance of Enoshima island from Koshigoe | On Enoden line, Kamakura. You can see the best Enoshima view right after the train starts Koshigoe station (from Kamakura—the spot is right BEFORE the train enter Koshigoe station if you come from Fujisawa).

A cat is enjoying the morning sun | Meigetsuin Temple, Kamakura A cat is enjoying the quiet winter morning at Meigetsuin. Their garden is quite beautiful. Most sightseers visit the temple in summer when hydrangeas are blooming, but I love to go there in winter to enjoy calmness.
