Raven Manor's Grave Slab - The moving Grave Slab prop that the Hallowed Haunting Grounds built in 1994 has served as inspiration for many home haunters since its creation. It's a great idea that was well executed and tutorialized for all to benefit from. Raven Manor put together a tutorial on their build of this classic prop and it's worth a deeper look. I know what you're thinking...why would I not take a deeper look at the Hallowed Haunting Grounds original build? To be honest, it...

Mystic Lord Horns - A good pair of horns is hard to find. Actually, I hardly ever just "find" horns laying around so it's pretty much up to me to buy a pair, or make a pair. If you've ever seen the horns that you can buy then you already know that this isn't an option. Luckily, houseofdarkly understands this as well and has provided a really great looking method for creating horns.

How to Make Costume Horns :: this is an overly complicated tutorial. I just used that stuff you use to vent your dryer. It already has the bumps an can be held in shape with duct tape.(How To Make Dress Duct Tape)

Corpsing A Pumpkin - You've corpsed a skeleton so why haven't you corpsed a pumpkin? Seriously. Foam pumpkins look great when they're carved up, but they look even better after a quick corpsification, just ask kloey74 who posted the My Creepy Pumpkin Tutorial over at The HalloweenForum. The foam pumpkin that she modified looks amazing, and when you consider how many Halloween props require a foam pumpkin you'd be foolish not to try something new.

DIY Scary Pumpkin Tutorial from Halloween Forum User this DIY Scary Pumpkin with just a few materials. The key to creating this pumpkin is cotton balls and lots of Mod Podge.

Grave Stone Shaker - If the grave stone's a rocking, don't bother knocking? Well, I'm not sure that really works, and to be honest, any grave stone that's rocking back and forth is definitely going to pique my interest, much like the one that Onsteadvideos created.

How To Make Zombies Out of Junk - As the title indicates, this instructable will help you solve the age old question of How To Make Zombies Out of Junk. Well, maybe not junk, but materials that you may already have laying around your house (or in your garbage can). I have to hand it to garnoft, this one of the most creative uses of junk I can think of.

Unfortunately I couldn't get the instructable to save and add a new page so I am reduced to a slideshow. It isn't hard to make a zombie and other than a few.

Kicking Legs Prop - There are a ton of Kicking Legs Prop tutorials on the internet, but the one that the Hollywood Haunter put together stands head and shoulders above the rest. To be honest, anyone that takes the time to create proper looking butt cheeks for their Kicking Legs prop wins every time as far as I'm concerned, and this in depth tutorial / analysis of the prop that the Hollywood Haunter built is more than enough to get you off and running, so to speak, to build your own Kicking…

Casting Pirate Doubloons - If your planning on a pirate theme for any section of your haunt you'll probably have the need for some pirate booty. And since I'm talking about treasure here, the tutorial that IMU posted over at the HalloweenForum about Casting your own Pirate Doubloons is the perfect solution.

Weather Resistant Tree Stump - I'm not sure how to categorize this prop, but suffice to say it's an incredible and ultimately necessary prop. Everyone that's had any use for exterior video projection has encountered the problem of not only hiding the projector but protecting it from the elements. This tutorial from Rabbit101 tackles both problems and creates a nifty Weather Resistant Tree Stump to hide it in as well!

Devil’s Rust - Sometimes in prop building you need to accelerate the aging process a little bit and other times you need to accelerate the process a whole lot. Devil's Rust will help you when you need to turn the clock forward several decades to give your props a grimy, rusty appearance. This recipe, created by DevilsGateCemetery, will cost you next to nothing to create and can be painted on just about anything. It can take up to 24 hours to achieve a fully rusted appearance, but once…

Skeleton Hands - A pair of realistic looking skeleton hands will always come in handy when prop building. The problem is, they're usually accompanied by the price tag of a bucky skeleton. So if I told you that you could make a pair of skeleton hands yourself shaped in the position of your choosing for the cost of a few beads, coat hanger, and milk jugs, you'd say I was crazy, right? Well Gary Benson would beg to differ, because the tutorial he posted at Proprageous will give you…
