A great way to use up those Mylar scraps leftover from Embroidery projects. I can see some fun resin projects using the 11 iridescent colors I have everywhere. So many scraps and I just shove them in plastic bags. Now I have some great uses for them, Beads, cabochons. I am even thinking of using the solid colors over hand made paper beads hmmm! will let you know how it goes.
Closeup of the Morning Mist florals design from HIA. The photos really don't do the designs justice. They really sparkle in person. I just cant' seem to capture this with my camera. I may have to try a short video instead and add it to my website.
This is the other side of the tote bag and I used one of the larger designs from HIA called Morning Mist Florals. I can tell you I had a hard time trying to hoop my bag so had to undo the side seams which was a pain, but oh so worth it.. I love this set and you can find it here. http://www.hatchedinafrica.com/detail.aspx?id=3844&c=23&sc= I also digitized a font and used a motif fill for the text at the bottom. I will have to play more with this.
This is a close up of one of the Hummingbirds in the set called Hummingbird Garden and you can find it here. http://www.hatchedinafrica.com/detail.aspx?id=3883&c=23&sc= Many thanks to Santi and Cara for their beautiful designs.
I finally got busy and stitched out some designs from 2 different sets from Hatched In Africa, who make awesome designs for Mylar. This is one side of the inexpensive black tote I used. Other pictures to follow.
