This beautiful style of crystal encased glasswork leads many first time viewers to ask about the flowers that have been "painted" inside the vase. Of course, the Cala Lily, the Bird of paradise, and the delicate blue mountain lupine are all made of glass, an integral part of the vase, and the illusion that they were painted after the fact is a wonderful testament to the quality of Scott Beyers design and his skill as a glassworker.

Orient and Flume A very modern color combination, and yet it is also one that was popular right around 1935 when it was the height of fashion. Hmmmmmmm. The glasswork is dramatic and detailed, the body of the vase is crystal clear, and all signs point to it being from Orient and Flume (who else?),
