I have already thought of this!! I was going to cut up magazines... hadn't thought of scrapbook alphabet letters!!
letter recognition idea - make a book with each letter out of leftover scrapbooking stickers - can also add random stickers that start with that letter
Letter Recognition -- I'm thinking a center where kids can add pictures to make a class book throughout the year. Original idea was.....take leftover scrapbooking stickers and create a book so students can see all of the different ways each letter can be formed!
Pinner says, ''Create a letter recognition book from leftover scrapbooking stickers. Students will love looking through all of the different fonts, styles, textures, etc!'' I could have kids look for clipping of sight words to add to pages as well for first graders.
Cute letter recognition idea - make a book with each letter out of leftover scrapbooking stickers (I bet cutting them out of magazines would go right along with this!)

Identifying letters with clothespins for kids to support letter recognition and promote fine motor skills
Clothes Pin Words (Printable sheets, letters written on clothes pins; have the child "spell" the word with the pins. Good for reading, spelling and fine motor skills.) Good for Sight Words!
Fine motor strengthening, letter recognition and spelling in one easy-to-make activity. WHIT'S THOUGHTS: We got this in a busy bag swap with friends. Noah likes matching up the letters, especially now that he's starting to recognize the different letters and sounds they make. Also, bonus: it's another clothespin activity to develop those fine motor skills!
spelling words w/ clothes pin letters (fine motor and literacy) -- could also do this in the name center to promote fine motor skills and name spelling
SPELLING 2 Clothespins: Have laminated cards with the students spelling words on them and have clothespins with the individual letters on them. Have the students pin the clothespins overtop the letter on the card to spell the word. This also helps fine motors skills.
Spelling words w/ clothes pin letters; would use for fry and/or dolch words in small group, good for memorization and fine motor skills!
Spelling Pin #1.Spelling Clothes Pin Words. Pinned to be used with younger kids, it's very inexpensive and good for multiple areas. Teacher prepares a bin full of clothespins labeled with letters. Students must match the letter to their sight or spelling word labeled on the card. To work on writing, spelling, and recognition, the students could create the word cards themselves, or the teacher could create them. Also works with fine motor skills.
These are all good ideas...clothes pin spelling game. Do with sight words!
