Every teacher needs some quiet spray. Squirt liberally when required. (nothing in bottle) ;)

This might seem elementary.but I love the quiet spray idea! Very cool teacher ideas on this site. Quiet spray has nothing in the bottle but air. This may be the smartest classroom management tool I have ever seen.

Have a student sit on chair in front of white board and have others write a positive phrase about them, then take a picture. Don't let them see it...till they get the photo! Such a great end of the year activity or for those days when students are using unkind words about one another. If I become a Teacher, this is sooo happening!

What a great positive group activity! Have one person sit on a chair in front of a white board while the others wrote a positive phrase about them. Take a picture to give to each person. A very creative and positive group activity.

bulletin board ideas.

"Check Out the Lineup in." Using a T-shirt theme and hanging student shirts along a clothing line is a colorful idea for a Back To School bulletin board display. You can also have the children decorate their t-shirt

Barefoot Island is a project to help reinforce mapping skills. Students create their own legend using 10-15 symbols that are typically found on maps (i.e. Grocery Store, Gas Station, School). They then add those symbols to their map of Barefoot Island. Students become city planners as they place their symbols in appropriate zones.

For our mapping skills unit! Created for student in grade, Barefoot Island is a fun, engaging project to help reinforce mapping skills. Students create their own legend.
