This one is pretty cute too – a little bird’s nest, filled with candy. You’ll need a muffin tin, coconut and green food coloring, and jelly beans or other candy. Just mold the treats on the underside of the muffin tins (or inside them – either way, spray the tins with some cooking oil first). How cute is this?
Mix peanut butter and vegetable shortening; melt in a microwave for 1 and 1/2" minutes on high. Mix in quick-cooking oats, cornmeal, and flour. Pack mixture into two paper cups, then cool. Remove from molds, and place in mesh bag, plastic clip side down. Secure open end of bag, and hang feeder from branches at a good height above ground.
DIY Peanut Feeder for Birds by birdsandblooms: Peanuts are an inexpensive and nutritious food for birds. Serving them in the shell in this mesh feeder makes it hard for squirrels to snack, while woodpeckers, blue jays and nuthatches have little trouble breaking the shells with their bills. #Bird_Feeder #Peanuts #birdsandblooms
