Edinburgh ~ Scotland ~ Edinburgh Castle ~ The castle itself has not only been used as a place of royal residence it has been used as a prison and a military garrison as well. It is said that Edinburgh Castle is haunted by a famous ghost, the Lone Piper. Legend has it that you can sometimes hear a piper from within the grounds. Scary!
