With hurricane season starting to heat up, we thought it a good time to create a piece educating people on how and where hurricanes form, as well as what locations have been or are likely to be impacted by them.
I bought different colors of aquarium gravel. I layered a 1000 ml graduated cylinder and made the layers of the atmosphere to scale. The students cannot grasp the idea how big each layer is, but when scaled it becomes easy to visualize.
